How have you grown professionally while at Certara?
I've learned so much here, mainly due to really smart people taking the time to answer my questions. That's one of the best things about working Certara, in my opinion. At any moment you can have leading experts across our field on the phone giving you really valuable insight. That, combined with the flexibility to work across a wide range of projects/indications/modalities allows for really rapid growth.

VP Quantitative Systems Toxicology and Safety What inspires you about Certara's mission of Accelerating Medicines Together? About the work that you are a part of at Certara?
The people I work with, basically. A phrase I used about my first impressions when I started at Certara was of an atmosphere/culture of 'relaxed focus'. Rather than being wound up like taut springs (which I’d experienced elsewhere), people were instead just cracking on with their work but in a relaxed frame of mind. Cracking on, not cracking up. It is exciting and productive as a biologist working alongside colleagues with more of a mathematical background. Certara are the go-to company for computational approaches to drug discovery, safety, and metabolism & pharmacokinetics, and we all need to work effectively as a team to keep it that way.

What inspires you about Certara's mission of Accelerating Medicines Together? About the work that you are a part of at Certara?
As an internal IT group, our job is to support the incredible scientists, writers, developers, researchers, and more that work here at Certara. Knowing I can play just a small role in enabling them to do their jobs which ultimately can result in life changing medicines feels great! Even beyond that, we are actively working on improving and creating a Service Desk and IT team that are truly business partners. Seeing that challenge and potential ahead is truly inspiring to me.
